The Calypso Rose musical is a legacy project that captures the intricacies of Calypso Rose’s life through, and over a 60-year period. Across Rose’s music, she laments on her roots in Tobago and what the island has done to inspire her now 75-year career in music as a global advocate and icon. It is fitting, that the premiere of her musical story takes its place in Tobago, to venerate the work done by Rose while simultaneously highlighting the island that has inspired and nurtured many like Rose - who have taken “Tobago to the world”.
