Welcome ToBago is operated by Tobago Information Technology Limited (TITL). This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored and protected when you use the Welcome ToBago mobile application, website and related digital services. By using Welcome ToBago, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We May Collect
Depending on the services and features you use, Welcome TobBgo may collect account information such as your name or display name, email address, mobile number, login and authentication information, profile information, preferences and interests.
We may also collect device and technical information necessary to operate, secure and improve the platform, including device type, operating system, app version, device identifiers, IP address, diagnostic information, crash data and performance information.
With your permission, Welcome ToBago may use location information for interactive maps, nearby events and attractions, directions, location-based recommendations, GPS check-ins, festival experiences and location-related safety or assistance features. You may disable location access through your device settings, although some features may then be unavailable or operate with reduced functionality.
2. QR and GPS Check-Ins
Welcome ToBago may allow users to check in at participating events, attractions, businesses, sponsor locations or other approved experiences. Check-ins may be verified using GPS or QR codes.
Check-in information may be used to confirm participation, support digital passport or reward programmes, measure engagement, prevent fraudulent check-ins and generate aggregated programme analytics.
3. Community Content
Welcome ToBago may provide community features that allow users to post content, comment, react, participate in discussions and interact with other users. Information voluntarily published through public community features may be visible to other users.
Community activity may include posts, comments and replies, Give Heat reactions, photos or other permitted media, topics and discussions, event interactions, check-ins where the user chooses to make them visible, and other user-generated content.
Users should avoid posting personal, confidential or sensitive information that they do not want others to see. Content may be reviewed or moderated to support safety, platform integrity and compliance with applicable rules.
4. AI Concierge and Live-Agent Assistance
Welcome ToBago may provide an AI-powered concierge and live-agent assistance. When you interact with these services, your messages and relevant conversation information may be processed to provide responses, facilitate transfers between AI and human agents, improve service quality, address safety concerns and troubleshoot technical issues.
Users should not submit passwords, banking credentials or other unnecessary sensitive information through AI or chat services.
5. Notifications
With your permission, Welcome Tobago may send push notifications relating to events and festivals, changes to event information, public information, safety notices, platform activity, community interactions, relevant ToBago experiences and service announcements. You can manage notification permissions through the app or your device settings.
6. How We Use Information
Information collected through Welcome ToBago may be used to provide and maintain the platform; create and manage user accounts; personalise experiences; provide event and visitor information; enable maps and location-based functionality; facilitate GPS and QR check-ins; provide AI and live-agent assistance; deliver notifications; support community features; moderate user-generated content; respond to support enquiries; investigate misuse or security incidents; improve platform performance; produce aggregated analytics; support festival, tourism and visitor-service planning; protect users and platform integrity; and meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
7. Information Sharing
TITL does not sell users’ personal information.
Information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate Welcome ToBago, including providers supporting hosting, email delivery, maps and location functionality, artificial intelligence, notifications, analytics and technical infrastructure. These providers may process information only as required to provide the relevant service and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or lawful authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate fraud or misuse, address security concerns or respond to a legitimate safety issue.
8. Safety and Assistance Information
Where a user voluntarily submits a safety or assistance report, Welcome ToBago may collect information necessary to process that report, which may include contact information, location, description of the incident and information or media submitted by the user.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, relevant information may be provided to authorised personnel or agencies for the purpose of responding to the reported situation. Welcome ToBago should not be relied upon as a replacement for official emergency services.
9. Third-Party Services
Welcome ToBago may use third-party technology providers to support features such as hosting, maps, artificial intelligence, email, notifications, analytics and other platform functionality. Those services may process limited information required to provide their functionality.
Welcome ToBago may also contain links to external websites or services. TITL is not responsible for the privacy practices of independently operated third-party websites or services.
10. Data Security
TITL takes reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse. However, no internet-based service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
11. Data Retention
Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to operate Welcome Tobago, meet legal or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security and enforce applicable agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is held.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law and the functionality available within Welcome ToBago, users may be able to review or update account information; change notification permissions; change location permissions; delete their own community content where supported; request access to certain personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; and request deletion of their account or personal information, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
Privacy-related requests may be submitted to support@welcometobago.com. TITL may need to verify the identity of the requester before completing certain requests.
13. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their Welcome ToBago account and associated personal information, subject to information that TITL is legally or operationally required to retain.
Account-deletion instructions will be made available within the app and/or through the Welcome Tobago website. Requests may also be directed to support@welcometobago.com.
14. Children and Age Requirements
Welcome ToBago is intended for a general audience subject to the age requirements and rating applied through the relevant app store. Certain community, location or interactive functionality may be restricted based on age or applicable requirements.
TITL does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental or guardian consent is legally required without the appropriate authorisation.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
TITL may update this Privacy Policy as Welcome ToBago develops, new functionality is introduced or legal and operational requirements change. The latest version will be published at https://www.welcometobago.com/privacy-policy/. Where appropriate, users may also be notified of material changes through the application.
