Tobago Carnival 2023 will have a mixture of street parades ( J’ouvert, De Masquerade, and the Parade of Bands) and listed static events produced by the Tobago House of Assembly and local promoters. For more information, visit our website (welcometobago.com) and browse the “Event Calendar” page.
Our street parades, J’ouvert, De Masquerade and Parade of the Bands, will all be centralised to Scarborough. A more detailed route of the street parades mentioned above will be published on our website (www.welcometobago.com) at a later date.
Traditional Mas is included, and bands are encouraged to register for one or all of our events (J’ouvert, De Masquerade and/or Parade of Bands).
The route for both J’ouvert and De Masquerade can be found on our website. The Parade of Bands route will be published at a later date.
Registration begins on Monday, 28th August 2023 and closes on Monday, 11th September 2023. All bands are welcome to register. To register a band for carnival, you will be required to do the following:
- Fill out the registration form on our website www.welcometobago.com
- Pay the registration fee by the stipulated date. (Jouvert: $300TTD, De Masquerade $300TTD, Parade of Bands:$500TTD)

Yes. The fees are as follows:
- J’Ouvert: $300
- De Masquerade: $300
- Parade of Bands: $500
NB: Traditional Mas bands and Cultural groups are exempt from paying the above-mentioned fees.
Bands are to engage music trucks at their own expense, which should not exceed 26ft long. Please note that music trucks hired by bands will be subjected to the same guidelines as THA-procured trucks.
Vending is allowed at all of the events. Vendors can set up along the advertised routes at their own cost. All vendors must have a valid food badge and meet the food safety standards set by the Health Department.
The listing of registered bands will be accessible through our secretariat located at the Tobago Festivals Commission Limited office, GNV Place, Wilson Road, Scarborough, Tobago and on our website, “welcometobago.com”, from Tuesday, 12th September 2023.
Yes, Trinidad bands are allowed to register and participate in all of our parades.

There are no restrictions. Bands reserve the right to provide an all-inclusive or semi-inclusive experience for their masqueraders.
